Wildlife and River DiscoverySaturday 5th JuneRavensbury ParkFriends of Ravensbury Park Community Day10.30am-6pm Throughout the day: displays and information about Ravensbury Park; activities for children including scavenger hunt, tree trail, art workshop; kite flying in the meadow area of the park - bring your own kite. 2.30pm-4.30pm Guided walk to learn about the history of Ravensbury Park and the folklore and medicinal qualities of the local plants and trees. 5pm-6pm Teddy Bear Picnic Everyone welcome. Please bring a picnic, rug and teddy bear. Marquee will be by the old footbridge over the Wandle, off Wandle Rd and Morden Rd SM4. Piece and Workshop A public art piece developed with members
of the community offers a new experience of the park and new ways of perceiving

this normally restricted site for mini beasts and pond dipping. No booking
required. The Wetland is next to Budge Lane Community Centre, 2 Budge
Lane, Hackbridge. Open Day at Spencer Road Wetland11am-2pm Spencer Road Wetland – reserve
entrance at junction of Spencer Road and Wood Street, Hackbridge. Activity Day at Sutton’s New Community Farm10am-2pm Discover the farm, a beautiful
area of land, surrounded by fields and horses with views over London.
Activities include preparing beds, planting seeds, surveying for biodiversity

Balsam from the banks of the river Wandle as we can. Come and help us

up the River Wandle close to Burntwood School. Students will be on hand
