Morden Hall Park near the Snuff Mill

Nature walk for two hours around the Park

10am-12 noon Led by Tony Drakeford, well-known naturalist and author of ‘River Wandle Wildlife Guide’. Meet at Morden Cottage, near the Snuff Mill.

Fishing demo and angling history

9am-2pm Watch underwater camera, have a go at making floats and learn more about the history of angling. There will be no actual fishing as the season is closed. (Morden Hall Angling Club).

Open Day and pond dipping at Wandle Valley Wetland

11am-2pm Venue: next to Budge Lane Community Centre, 2 Budge Lane, Hackbridge. The site is not usually open to the public. Free, no booking required. Contact: Sutton Nature Conservation Volunteers 020 8770 5821.

Visit Spencer Road Wetland (a London Wildlife Trust reserve)

11am-2pm Spencer Road Wetland, Hackbridge Junction. Meet at entrance to reserve on junction of Spencer Road and Wood Street. Guided Walk around the reserve and refreshments. Contact: 020 8770 4297.

In King George's Park by the Lake from 11am to 5pm

Search for River Wandle creatures. Take a very close look at what lives in the river and find out more about them. (Thames 21)

10am-4.30pm See the animals, have a pony ride at either 11am or 3pm at £1 per ride. Special access to the small pets area. 39 Windsor Avenue, SW19. Car parking available.

River Clean-up

Sutton Ecology Centre

2-5pm Pond dipping: join us for fun fishing at the Ecology Centre pond. Fishy Creations: come and hunt for the materials you will need to make yourself a fabulous fishy hat.
