Honeywood Museum, Honeywood Walk, Carshalton

10am-5pm Children, pretend you are on ‘Time Team’ by digging up the past in our archaeology boxes. Take the archaeologists challenge and piece together an object, plus other archaeological activities. Drop in crafts throughout the weekend including make an ‘Elizabethan’ garden fish, grotto picture, design your own coat of arms, explore Tudor spinning, weaving and dyeing, brass rubbings, add to our watery collage, Trails, and more. Guided Walk around Wetlands and Nature Reserves

10.40am Visit four Wandle wetlands/nature reserves, including the National Trust-owned Watermeads. Length 3-4 miles; easy walking. Meet at Mitcham Junction Station (bus stop on bridge). Honeywood Museum

Tudor Gallery at Honeywood Museum throughout June. Henry VIII and Nicholas Carew of Beddington - From Friendship to Execution. Nicholas Carew was one of young Henry VIII’s hunting and sporting companions; through it rose to wealth and power.
